To determine the slide you need, take your old slide and close it so both sides are even. Measure it. If your slide is 14-3/4" in length then you would pick DSP-8817/373 for the "A" measurement. It is best to use the "A" measurement. Keep in mind that double acting slides they will actually travel further than your originals. Lets say your slides are 17" long. If you look at the chart you don't see a 17" slide but a DSP-8817/373 will work because the slide is double acting. In this case you mount one side of the slide to the rear of the drawer side panel and the other side to the front side panel of the cabinet, so when the drawer is completely close the slides are not. Double acting are slides in which male slides in both directions - from B-C position. Most drawer slides are closed when both male & female sides are even.
