Since the voltage is so low, 12V instead od 110V, they last much longer...over 1500 hours! All halogens are suppled with protective lenses and with over-strength UL-CSA approved transformers with double protection against overloading and short circuits. All halogens are made to snap into the transformers, making assembly a matter of seconds and all sets are available as individual components.
